Friederike Nastold

Trained artist and art historian. She is a junior professor of art history with a focus on gender studies at the Institute for Art and Visual Culture at Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, and deputy director of the Center for Gender Studies (ZFG) in Oldenburg. Her research focuses on art and visual culture studies, gender/queer studies, new materialism, and affect theory. Most recently, she co-edited the fourth issue of the INSERT art journal, titled dis/sense in der Anthropozänkritik (2023).
