Cultural studies scholar, professor in the Institute of Polish Culture of the University of Warsaw and member of the editorial team of Konteksty academic journal at the Art Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He specialises in image theory and, more recently, historical postal micropractices. Author of several dozen academic publications, including the book entitled Beauty as the Beast. A Contribution to the Theory of Image (2010).
