Piotr Piotrowski

Professor in the Modern Art Division of the Institute of Art History at the Adam Mickiewicz University. Co-editor of Artium Quaestiones (1997-2009), former director of Nationam Museum in Warsaw (2009-2010) and curator of Conemporary Art Gallery in the National Museum in Poznań (1992-1997). Interested in social and political art history of the 20th century, especially of Central and Eastern Europe. Author of numerous books, including Awangarda w cieniu Jałty. Sztuka w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej w latach 1945-1989 (2005), Sztuka według polityki. Od Melancholii do Pasji (2007), Agorafilia. Sztuka i demokracja w postkomunistycznej Europie (2010), Muzeum krytyczne (2011).
