Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick
(1950–2009) American scholar in the fields of gender studies, critical theory, as well as queer theory, of which she was one of cofounders. She wrote numerous books on topics ranging from psychoanalysis, literature, pedagogy to performance theory. Her works include, among others, Between Men: English Literature and Male Homosocial Desire (1985), Epistemology of the Closet (1991), Performativity and Performance (1995, co-edited with Andrew Parker), Touching Feeling: Affect, Pedagogy, Performativity (2003).
