Tobias Hering

Born 1971, a freelance curator and writer. As a participant of "Living Archive – Archival Work as a Contemporary Artistic and Curatorial Practice" at Arsenal - Institute for Film and Video Art, Berlin, he has engaged in several projects dedicated to African films and their presence/absence in archives, including the "Visionary Archive" project launched in 2013. He is a member of the selection committee for the documentary and video festival "dokfest Kassel" and has edited the essay collection Der Standpunkt der Aufnahme - Point of View: Perspectives of political film and video work (2014).
