Teresa Murak

Born 1949. One of the most important Polish neo-avant-garde artists, associated with performance, earthworks and feminism (although she herself does not identify with feminism). Studied art history at the Catholic University in Lublin, but got her degree in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (studied under Jan Tarasin and Tadeusz Dominik). Prticipated in many exhibition (an elaborated list can be consulted at culture.pl, see link above). Lives and works in Warsaw.
