Ernst van Alphen

Profesor literaturoznawstwa na Uniwersytecie w Lejdzie. Zajmuje się przede wszystkim modernistyczną i postmodernistyczną literaturą oraz jej powiązaniami ze sztukami wizualnymi. Jest autorem m.in. Art in Mind: The Contribution of Contemporary Images to Thought (2005); Caught by History. Holocaust Effects in ContemporaryArt, Literature and Theory (1997); Failed Images: Photography and Its Counter-practices (2018) oraz Staging the Archive (2014).
